Our journey together, spanning six wonderful years, has been marked by love, joy, and profound grace, and we eagerly anticipate a lifetime of shared experiences. Our story is one of a love that flourished through mutual interests in broadcasting, politics, history and life, deepening as we embraced every aspect of life together. With God at the very center of our journey, a God who loves, restores, and whose timing is perfect, we have been led to grow, to cherish one another, and to choose each other consistently. And now, we have made the decision to unite as one.

We first met about seven years ago at a broadcasting station. Sali worked as a Final Mix Audio Engineer, while Dibu worked as a TV news producer and spent much of her time on voice packages. Sali still remembers Dibu’s very first words to him:
“Hmmm, your body looks good. Do you gym?”
A shy Sali blushed and politely replied, “Thank you, yes, I do enjoy going to the gym.”

From that moment forward, Dibu consistently sought opportunities to record voice packages often as a pretext to engage with Sali. Their initial friendship gradually grew into admiration, which eventually blossomed into love.

After a year of courtship, Sali finally gathered the courage to ask Dibu out via a hand written letter on the 13th of May, 2020, which Dibu replied back with a Yes!, yes, the COVID year. Dating during a pandemic was not easy. They couldn’t go out much, but they made up for it with long phone calls that often stretched into the early hours of the morning. Dibu would sometimes tell her uncle she was on the phone with a friend overseas, while in truth, she was falling deeper in love with Sali through those conversations.

A profound and unwavering affection developed between them. They fell in love 2020 and have been inseparable ever since. After five years of shared happiness, laughter, and unconditional love, Sali said to Dibu, “I intend to write a letter to your father. It is time for you to become my wife.”
With a blushing and fulfilled heart, Dibu nodded and replied, “Do you want my address?”

And as the saying goes the rest is history

The year 2025 has been one of our greatest blessings. From Sali’s proposal to the beautiful introduction of our two families, God has shown His faithfulness. And then there is Khabane, affectionately known as Maramas by Uncle Sali, the greatest love of our lives. Our little princess has drawn us even closer together, and we cannot wait for the day when more little Khabanes are running around our home.

God has indeed been good to us, so gracious and so faithful. We trust that He will continue to guide and bless us as we choose to spend eternity together.
